Devine's journey in football began at North Fort Myers High School, where he quickly established himself as a standout player, breaking records and garnering attention from top collegiate programs across the nation. His remarkable high school career included impressive rushing yards and touchdowns, cementing his status as one of the most promising talents in the country.
Upon joining the West Virginia Mountaineers, Devine continued to showcase his exceptional skills on the field. Throughout his collegiate career, he amassed numerous accolades, including being named First-team All-Big East in 2009 and Second-team All-Big East in 2008. Devine also set records, including the career all-purpose yardage record for the Mountaineers with 5,761 yards. Despite facing challenges and injuries during his senior season, Devine's talent and determination remained evident. Although his path to the NFL was not without obstacles, he was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2011. Devine's professional career also saw stints with teams in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the United Football League. Beyond his playing career, Devine has continued to contribute to the world of football. He currently owns and operates DevineSpeed, LLC, a speed training business aimed at nurturing young athletes at all levels. In recognition of his remarkable contributions to the sport, Devine was inducted into the West Virginia University Sports Hall of Fame in 2021, solidifying his legacy as one of the most dynamic players in Mountaineer football history. |
